Humiecki & Graef
The idea for this luxury perfume label was developed by Sebastian Fischenich and Tobias Mücksch. This label was created to tell stories. Special stories with emotions and warmth, stories characterized by all facets of life. Stories like those of their grandmothers, which ultimately were the inspiration for the name of the label.
At the start of their cooperation the young creators discovered that their life stories share formative commonalities: intensive and intimate relationships with their grandmothers. The designers dedicated their perfume label to these relationships and the eventful lives of both strong women, Helena Humiecka z Humiecina (1908-2000) and Katharina Graf (1906-2004). Especially because scents mirror memories and emotions in incomparable ways, feeling and experience are subtly but formatively integrated.
Christophe Laudamiel is one of the top perfumers in the world and is known and esteemed for his way of transcending traditional methods. He not only is the enfant terrible of the perfumers, creating the fragrances for the film adaptation of Süskind’s “Perfume”, but also somebody who pursues artistic visions and realises them with technical know-how. This makes him the ideal perfumer for H&G because he combines perfume culture and modernity.
