The Widian perfume house was founded in 2014 by Ali Al Jaberi in Abu Dhabi. It combines the luxurious, oriental fragrance essences of Arabia with floral and fruity notes from around the world. At the heart of the fragrances lies the fusion of opposites: tradition and modernity, the West and the East, home and foreign lands.

Widian is a fantastic example of the contemporary Arab spirit, captured in modern yet traditional fragrances. Seductive aromas captivate and enchant with their sensual scent and clarity. Delicate, fragrant scents take you on a journey to the legendary heritage of the Middle East.
His olfactory journey began in his homeland, the Arabian desert, with scents of oud, amber, incense and rare Arabian blossoms. Having always been driven by an extraordinary passion for perfumes, Ali Al Jaberi was drawn to Paris, the classic centre of the art of perfumery. There he met the master perfumer Jean-Claude Astier, followed his dream and mastered the fine art of perfumery.
Back in his homeland, Ali Al Jaberi finally combined the treasures of the Arabian desert with the secrets of French perfumery, creating authentic fragrances that tell the story of his journey through two worlds.

Bottle and packaging
The bottle and packaging of the Black Collection are inspired by the magnificent architecture of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which was officially opened in 2007 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates and the eighth largest in the world.
The interwoven patterns on the bottle and packaging reflect the meticulous craftsmanship of the mosque’s arches and domes, thereby emphasising the uniqueness and quality of the fragrances within.
