A new star is born – and it's in the sky of the Hesperides, or more precisely, among the orange blossom fragrances. Mr Tauer has taken them under his wing and, unsurprisingly, the result is an extremely unusual (orange blossom) fragrance and thus another typical Tauer creation.
Those familiar with Tauer will already suspect that neither Hesperides nor orange blossoms are used in the way one might expect from the usual suspects, those many summer fragrances that feature such ingredients.
As a true Tauer, Orange Star is also a fragrance chameleon: green mandarin and clementine make a powerful entrance at the top and quickly develop into juicy, ripe fruits.
Lemongrass, citrusy and tingling, accompanies them and leaves a rich, fruity impression on the nose. The warmth of the base slowly emerges and patchouli opens up unexpected, earthy and grounding depths that correspond perfectly with the nectar-sweet soapiness of orange blossom. As it develops, the fragrance becomes creamier and woodier, ending on a golden, animalistic amber note.
And the star in the name? It provides the omnipresent glow, the dew-like radiance, the presence of its fragrances, which also dominate Orange Star.
