Panama Aquapazza is a maritime fragrance and, at the same time, a tribute to Naples – the city with which Panama has always been closely linked since 1924. As the house’s tenth fragrance creation, Aquapazza continues this special relationship through scent.
Luca Maffei’s composition possesses a flowing elegance and an intense yet delicately balanced atmosphere. The opening is defined by a lively sea breeze with salty notes and a sense of vastness and freedom. The balsamic, zesty freshness of Siberian pine lends it additional clarity.
At the heart, the mineral facets of seaweed come to the fore, before dry cedarwood lends the fragrance structure and balance. A soft musk accord rounds off the composition, allowing it to linger on the skin with a fresh and long-lasting finish.
Archive Collection 1997
Panama 1924 was created in 1997 from a vision of timeless elegance and artisanal quality. High-quality materials, carefully selected fragrance ingredients from around the world and a love of detail continue to characterise the house’s work to this day.
To mark the launch of its tenth fragrance, Panama Aquapazza is being released as part of the limited-edition ‘Archive Collection 1997’. For this edition, Panama 1924 returns to its original bottle featuring the cap from the year of its founding. It was not until 2008 that the bottle was given its octagonal base, the design of which – developed exclusively for the brand – is inspired by the shape of Paris’s Place Vendôme.
Limited to 5,000 bottles, the collection comprises the house’s first fragrance, Panama 1924, as well as Panama Fefè and Panama Aquapazza. With this collection, Panama 1924 pays tribute to its Neapolitan roots whilst also drawing a line back to its own history.
