“Jean-David wanted a hug, a soft and comforting fragrance that envelops you. He spontaneously thought of iris and its powdery signature. In Greek mythology, Morpheus, the son of Sleep and Night, is the deity of dreams. Thus, I envisioned a dreamed, fantasized, idealized iris, with all its facets pushed to the extreme: the powdery, enveloping, and comforting facets are accentuated by violet and vanilla almondy notes of tonka bean and heliotrope; the naturally green, vegetal, and crisp facets are intensified by violet leaf and hazel, and the woody, rooty, and earthy facets are reinforced by cashmeran and touches of vetiver.”
