A depth, a sweetness, an addiction. Café Gourmand was inspired by one of the brand’s founder, David Perrin’s, favourite everyday rituals: that moment of tranquillity when coffee warms the soul and a sweet treat soothes the heart. A fragrance conceived as an everyday pleasure – at once sweet, intense and irresistibly addictive.
“I envisaged Café Gourmand as an ode to my love of coffee and sweet indulgences. An enveloping and warm fragrance composition that evokes those simple moments when we treat ourselves to a moment of pure, unadulterated pleasure.” – David Perrin
Right from the very first notes, the fragrance unfolds with a radiant and spicy opening that combines the zesty freshness of bergamot with the aromatic warmth of cardamom and saffron. Cinnamon leaves subtly enrich this opening, lending it a note that is both invigorating and soothing. The heart note reveals the full gourmand character of the composition. The deep and enveloping coffee absolute intertwines with the spicy accents of nutmeg. Jasmine blossoms lend it a delicate floral facet, whilst vanilla exudes an addictive sweetness, creating a harmonious balance between intensity and delicacy. Finally, the base note unfolds with elegance and endurance. Benzoin and musk convey a sense of warmth and comfort, underscored by the richness of amberwood and the depth of vetiver.
A fragrance composition that leaves a sensual and long-lasting trail – like the memory of a pleasure one would like to prolong.
La Ruche: A collection dedicated to sustainability — more than just perfume
La Ruche is more than just a fragrance collection. Whilst the name evokes associations with the world of bees, the fragrances are intended neither to imitate nor to directly replicate it. Rather, they represent an individual vision and a deep connection with nature and its indispensable guardians: the bees.
The collection arose from brand owner David Perrin’s personal commitment to Natur’Abelha. Based in the hills above Grasse, the charity is dedicated to protecting bees, preserving biodiversity and raising awareness amongst young people. For every product sold, one euro is donated to Natur’Abelha. Furthermore, David Perrin personally supports various initiatives run by the charity on the ground.
La Ruche combines creativity with responsibility. This includes minimalist, eco-friendly packaging made from recycled cardboard, as well as carefully composed fragrances. The perfumes have a concentration of 20% and consist of up to 85% ingredients of natural origin.
The result is a collection that is as sophisticated as it is contemporary. Wearing a fragrance from La Ruche means choosing a perfume that embodies more than just an olfactory signature: it represents a personal commitment to nature and life.
