The Different Company - Extraits Extrêmes - Salty Kiss

Gourmand

The Kiss Trap – Gourmet and salty. A contrast between sea salt and indulgence.

Salty Kiss by The Different Company plays ingeniously with opposites, combining maritime freshness with seductive gourmand sensuality. Sparkling sea salt crystals open the composition with a salty breeze, before a delicious accord of salted butter caramel and crunchy pecan provides warmth and indulgence. Crisp speculoos and soft white musk finally lend the fragrance a creamy, gently enveloping depth. An extraordinary gourmand fragrance by Cristiano Canali that masterfully blends sweet and salty facets.

Extraits Extrêmes
The Extraits Extrêmes collection by The Different Company blends apparent opposites into a new form of olfactory expression: the raw power of highly concentrated perfume extracts—with a fragrance oil concentration of over 50%—and the house’s elegant, refined signature. This creative tension between intensity and finesse gives rise to a collection of extraordinary presence, created for people who confidently express their personality and demand the highest standards of longevity and performance.

Each composition is based on rare, carefully selected raw materials that are deliberately and precisely overdosed. Every molecule follows a clear creative intent and contributes to the fragrances’ distinctive impact.

The bottle also underscores the collection’s character. The iconic glass block impresses with its pronounced density and tangible weight, while the multi-layered solid metal cap serves as an unmistakable hallmark of The Different Company. At the same time, the design follows a sustainable approach: 95% of the components used are recycled or recyclable.

The collection is complemented by practical travel sizes that keep your favorite fragrance within easy reach at all times. Compact, elegant, and ideal for on the go, they are also perfect for combining different creations. A logo discreetly engraved beneath the bottle rounds out the thoughtful design.

Mehr über The Different Company

The Different Company set itself extremely high goals when it was founded in 2000. The aim was to be different and to cultivate this difference in the long term. Incidentally, the company was founded by none other than perfume legend Jean-Claude Ellena. However, when he became in-house perfumer at Hermès in 2004, his daughter Céline Ellena took the lead, promisingly following in her father's footsteps and now managing the company. The renowned designer Thierry de Bachmakoff is responsible for the external appearance of the fragrances.

When it comes to creating its fragrances, The Different Company avoids any discussion of synthetic fragrances. Its creations use mostly natural ingredients, and these are used in concentrations unusually high for the industry. The traditionally fixed concentrations of eau de parfum or eau de toilette have also been abandoned, with the focus on the perfumer's basic idea and, above all, on the quality of the ingredients. The concentration varies between 4% and 12% depending on the fragrance.

The Different Company clearly bears the signature of Jean-Claude Ellena, a signature whose undertone is often described as bright and transparent. We take our hats off to The Different Company and believe that it does its founder proud and has charted a path where you can always rely on the master class of fragrances.
