Versatile is a fragrance brand founded in October 2021 by Coralie Frébourg. Versatile was born out of a desire to be courageous and true to oneself. It breaks with the institutional codes of luxury perfumery: no standardised fragrances or advertising, no elitist prices, no gender segregation. Versatile wants to focus on olfactory memories that we all know and offer an alternative to existing products. People and respect for the earth are at the heart of its development.
What is different about Versatile?
Versatile is different in its entire approach. In a nutshell: a practical 15 ml format that is also suitable for on the go, a sensual gesture that invites you to feel: roll-on. The fragrances are highly concentrated: perfume extracts of 30 to 38% (compared to 15% in an eau de parfum). They are alcohol-free, and our base is a blend of two oils, almond and wheat germ oil (suitable for sensitive skin, tattoos, even pregnant women...). These oils are known for their moisturising and nourishing properties. Accessible, eco-friendly and comprehensive. Wherever you want, whenever you want!
Are the fragrances 100% natural?
No, we use a blend of synthetic and natural ingredients. Why? Because 100% natural ingredients are not environmentally friendly: production, extraction methods and CO₂ emissions from transporting ingredients from one side of the world to the other must be taken into account. Furthermore, 100% natural ingredients do not always smell good and do not last long on the skin. We prefer olfactory harmony and good longevity of the perfume on the skin, so we have chosen beautiful natural ingredients and clean, safe synthetic ingredients to create fragrances that smell good.
What is the difference between an Eau de Parfum and an Extrait de Parfum?
The concentration. An Eau de Parfum has a concentration of between 15 and 20%. Extrait de Parfum has a concentration of 20 to 40%. The higher the concentration, the longer it lasts on the skin. Our perfumes have a concentration of 30 to 38%.
What is in the perfumes?
The formula of the fragrances is still a trade secret. But we have decided to disclose all the ingredients to avoid confusion about the compositions! All the information can be found on our website. We also exclude endocrine disruptors, UV filters, colourants, additives, CMR ingredients, etc., so that all our compositions are clean and safe for the skin.
And what about the environment?
Upcycled, recycled and reusable materials. Small-batch production. French and European partners (Italy and Spain). We have also committed to donating 3% of our turnover to the Ruban Rose association to support breast cancer research. This association is particularly close to our hearts, for all women.
